Dubois County, December 9, 2019:  Dubois County Community Foundation will launch 12 Days of Giving on December 9 with a special focus on education this year. Five local teachers will be awarded a $5,000 grant for their classroom totaling $25,000 going back into Dubois County schools.

One $5,000 grant will be awarded to a teacher from each Dubois County school corporation and Holy Trinity Catholic School. The grants can be used at the teacher’s discretion and are intended to inspire creativity, forward-thinking and imagination for use above and beyond everyday classroom needs.

The public can nominate their favorite teacher on December 18 between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. via a link on the Community Foundation’s Facebook page. The nomination should include the name of teacher, his or her school and what makes this teacher standout.

The winning teachers and respective school will be drawn at random on December 19 during a live Facebook event.

12 Days of Giving is made possible by countless donors in this community who have chosen to give an unrestricted gift to The Fund for Dubois County. Learn more by visiting the Community Foundation’s Facebook page or by calling Nona Baker at 812.482.5295.
